Introducing Ducoro

We can already hand a piece of code to Cursor or Codex and let it keep going. Once the work is not code, though, things quickly return to the old shape: scheduled jobs are spread across places, reminders and conversations disappear into one long list, and when you want several things moving at once there is nowhere to see who is doing what, what happens next, or where you need to decide.

What is missing is not another chat window. It is a place that can hold on to the work. You name the goal, the work gets its own context, team, and rhythm, and it keeps moving from there. Ducoro is our first complete attempt at that way of working.

We do not need another chat window

AI Bots are already good at one step: writing code, looking something up, making a slide, or shaping a report. The hard part is connecting those steps into one job you remain responsible for.

We want to solve the moment when you say, “I already explained this. Why am I starting from the beginning again?” Ducoro gives each job its own place: the goal lives there, the history lives there, the Bots live there, and the next start time is there too. You do not have to gather them again every morning. The work follows the direction you set.

Why Ducoro

Ducoro is pronounced /duːˈkɔːroʊ/ (doo-KOR-oh), with the stress on the second syllable. Ducoro is a new brand name inspired by duco and coro; the construction can be written as duco + coro → Ducoro: duco, Latin for leading or guiding; and coro, Italian for a group of voices singing together.

That is the relationship we want to express. AI is an amplifier, and a person gives it direction. A Bot can be capable and still have no idea why your work matters. A group of musicians can each play well and still need someone to set the direction that makes a piece whole. Your judgment sets the direction; the Bots’ ability to act turns that direction into action.

Ducoro is not an autopilot for your life. It amplifies your thinking, hands over the execution, and keeps the direction and final decisions with you.

One Space for each job you hand over

We put each ongoing job in a Space. It is a place made for that job: it has a goal, context you can keep talking in, participating Bots, files and tools, and a rhythm for how the work starts and stops.

You do not have to begin with a configuration sheet. Say what the job is, what good looks like, and when you need to know. The Space keeps those words beside the work, so the next run can start where the last one ended.

This continues an idea from an earlier product exploration. We brought notes, articles, skills, scenes, folders, and collections together as Blocks, then used Blocks to build any context. Ducoro takes that idea one step further: a Space is the smallest unit for an ongoing job. Several Bots can enter with their own context and roles, while the goal remains yours.

A Lead gives the team direction

Every Space has a Lead. The Lead is not a universal Bot that does everything for you. It is the one that understands the goal, organizes the team, and brings the result back.

When the job is simple, the Lead does it alone. When it is complex, the Lead finds the help it needs: parallel development can go to several independent coding Bots; a slide deck can go to a Bot that is good at visual work; business research can go to a Bot that knows how to gather and synthesize. The Lead decides how many roles are needed. You choose the model behind each Bot, and the Lead organizes the team around their roles.

Each job can have its own team structure. You provide the goal; the Lead builds the right team for that job. You see whether the work is moving, instead of carrying messages between Bots yourself.

Views let you manage from a higher level

Once you have more than a few Spaces, one list is not enough. What matters is not only how many tasks are complete. You may want to see the work in one workspace, the Spaces led by one Bot, a set of labels, or everything waiting for your decision.

Ducoro Views start from those judgments. Put the Spaces you care about on one board. Filter them by label, workspace, or Lead. Follow a Space’s storyline to see how it moved from a goal to a result. A View is not another task list; it is your way of organizing work around what you care to notice.

It keeps moving, and comes back when you have to decide

Once you hand it over, a Space starts on the rhythm you agreed on. The Lead remembers what happened last time, and can pass settled facts between Spaces when one job needs another. Work stops when it is done, stops when it reaches a boundary, and stops to ask you when the decision belongs to you.

You only need to watch the inbox for a new notice or a job that has reached the point where only you can decide. The rest of the running detail stays in its Space, ready when you want to look.

That is the future we are working toward: put the work you care about, and the work you do not want to watch every day, into a Space that keeps turning. Keep your attention for judgment, creation, and the decisions only you can make.

From Blocks to Spaces: the question we are exploring

Ducoro comes from the product exploration we began with Dessix. Dessix is a visual context workspace built around one idea: “What you see is what AI sees.” While thinking, you arrange the context; the AI works from that same context. Notes, articles, skills, scenes, folders, and collections can all become Blocks: shared units that people and AI can see and use. You can read what Dessix is for the thinking behind it.

Dessix explored how context can be designed, organized, and shared. Ducoro asks what happens when a job needs to keep running: who takes it on, how does it continue on its own, and when does it come back for a human decision. Blocks remain the basic units for organizing context; a Space puts that context inside a job that keeps moving.

Ducoro is both a product and an exploration of how people should work with AI Bots.

We believe the future Bot will be more than a tool that only answers one question at a time. It will enter a place with a goal, roles, and history, and keep working around the job you defined. You will not have to become its operator. You will show up at the important moments, give direction, make the decision, and keep the work moving with the result.
